ENTRY GUIDELINES

Guitar RockStar Idol Competition
  • The Guitar RockStar competition opens on Friday 17th July and closes Saturday 6th September 2008. Any entries after the closing date will not be entered into the competition.
  • The Guitar RockStar competition is open to all ages.
  • If you are under 16 years of age, parental consent must be obtained by Tomy UK Ltd before entering the competition. Your parent/ guardian’s email address is required to gain confirmation that they are happy for the video to be uploaded.
  • Tomy UK Ltd reserves the right to remove and delete videos that are deemed to be of an inappropriate nature.
  • All videos will be put through an approval process prior to being uploaded to the live website. Entrants will be informed when their video has gone live. Entrants should be aware that videos may take up to 72 hours to appear on the site from time of entry.
  • By uploading a video you will be entered into the Guitar RockStar Idol competition.
  • Entrants must confirm that they have the rights to upload their video. Tomy UK Ltd accept no responsibility for the videos uploaded.
  • You must have permission from the person appearing in the video if this is not you.
  • The winner will be the person/persons that appear in the video. Tomy UK Ltd do not differentiate between the persons in the video and the actual entrant.
  • Videos and information submitted will be non-returnable.
  • The competition is open to residents of UK & Ireland only.
  • Videos and soundtracks are uploaded by the general public and Tomy UK Ltd accept no responsibility for gaining the rights to use or upload videos and soundtracks. It is deemed to be the responsibility of the individual uploading the video. By agreeing to our Terms & Conditions, you agree that you are solely responsible for your upload and the consequences of posting or publishing the content and that you have or own the necessary licenses, rights, consents and permissions to use and authorize Tomy UK Ltd to use the content of your submission.
  • If you feel your copyright has been infringed in any way on this site, please contact us and we will rectify the situation.
  • The finalists will be chosen by the general public – this stage of voting is open to everyone. People may vote for as many videos as they like.
  • Once the competition closes, the videos with the most votes in each age group will be viewed by a panel of judges who will decide the overall winner. The Judging panel’s decision is final.
  • Upon entering your video you agree that Tomy UK Ltd have the rights to use your video in all available media without restriction and no royalty will be paid.
  • If you are selected as the overall winner, you must be available to claim the prize on the weekend of 12th September 2008 and to be filmed for a TV advertisement. If the winner is not available then the prize will default to a runner up of our choice from the four category finalists.
  • The winning RockStar Idol must be prepared to take part in all surrounding publicity, including photo shoots and broadcast and print interviews with the media.
  • The winner of the ‘Guitar RockStar Idol’ campaign will not be eligible for any modelling fee for the shoot or repeat image use.
  • Tomy UK Ltd may wish to use some videos for TV commercials. If your video is selected, we will contact you to gain your written permission.
  • The judges decision will be final.
  • Remember, every vote counts and it’s you who’ll choose the face of Tomy UK Ltd’s national Guitar RockStar advertising campaign…
  • The prize content may vary subject to winner’s age.
  • Transport to and from the prize is not included.
  • For your own security, please follow these guidelines:
    • Other than at registration, never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else eg. surnames, school names, telephone numbers, home addresses, email addresses, instant messager ids or specific places where you hang out.
    • Your RockStar names must be suitable. No flirty, rude or offensive names, Also, please do not give your full name.
    • You may not submit content or make comments that are mean, rude and offensive.
    • If you find any videos on this website offensive or upsetting, please report it immediately by using our contact us form
