Air Guitar Technique

• Technique is not as important as you might think. Although it is the most important aspect to air guitarists so it is worth honing your technique a bit.
• First - are you playing a guitar or is that actually a small rodent? Guitars are big things - give them room.
• Next the hands. Are you are left-handed or right-handed? Work out how to make it look like you are picking/strumming with one hand and with the other making chord shapes, solo-ing notes, and above all rocking out.
• There are moves that you instinctively know already - Use them. Jumps, knee bends, slides, windmills, teeth picking, smashing and grabbing. It's all there in rock videos and live concerts - even pub bands love to show off their virtuosity. So get out and memorise the moves!
