Elevate board and batten

We’ve seen a huge resurgence in board and batten and wainscotting this year. This alone creates a sophisticated, and clean look but we love using wallpaper to elevate it even further. Take your wallpaper in to your local paint shop and they can recommend a perfect paint colour to compliment your half wall of wallpaper. Does your style change often? Then this is a perfect low-cost style that you can easily remove and switch out later!

Put a pop of colour in the closet

Who doesn’t love an organized closet? Whether you have a standard sized “reach in” closet or a full walk-in dressing room, you can make it beautiful! Who wouldn’t love opening the door to a beautiful closet every morning? For this project, you simply need to remove any existing shelving, wipe down the walls to remove dust and dirt, and install your favourite wallpaper. Shelves can be reinstalled right over the wallpaper!

Create a Stunning Accent Wall

One of the most impactful ways to use peel and stick wallpaper is to create a beautiful accent wall. Does your room already have a theme? Then choose a design that complements it. Starting from scratch? Pick your wallpaper and add décor to set the tone for the room. Whether you prefer natural textures, flowers, vintage or modern, Rocky Mountain Decals peel and stick wallpaper offers designs for all personalities and living spaces.

When you are ready to start your project, your first step is measuring your wall’s width and height. Calculate how many removable wallpaper sheets you will need for your project. Clean your wall 24 hours prior to installation with a damp cloth.

You want the wall clean and completely dry for best results. Take care to apply the wallpaper straight while pushing all air out to the seems with an installation tool (squeegee.) Trim any excess wallpaper around the ceiling, baseboards, corners, windows, or doors. Add all décor and furniture and stand back to marvel at your beautiful new space!

Upgrade Vintage Furniture

Does your town have great second-hand shops? These stores have been inspiring some of our favourite TikTok content lately! We love to see a beautiful, well-made piece of furniture given a second life. You can add character using peel and stick wallpaper as drawer liners, as the face of a bookshelf or even covering the top of a coffee table!

Once you’ve found that perfect piece of furniture, select the wallpaper design that best suits your project vision. Measure the space you want wallpaper and cut out the needed amount from your wallpaper sheets. Carefully remove the backing and apply to the clean surface.

This project is extremely budget friendly and a perfect way for anyone to add their personal touch of home décor.
