Interior doors play a serious role in the harmonious arrangement of the apartment. The design of the entire room, as well as the duration of the repair period, depends on the correct choice. As a rule, interior doors, if properly used, can last at least 30-40 years. During this period, the door can easily retain its original look, not deform and not lose its attractiveness. The main thing is to focus on the features and purpose of the room. In this article, we will consider a wide variety and design features of door types for different rooms.

Swing Door Device

Experts on windows and doors from Buildmart notice that the door acquires a finished look after the installation of the following mandatory elements:

  • Box (frame) – this element is designed to hold the door itself inside a concrete or wooden opening;
  • Canvas – this is the door itself, which is designed to fill the opening and is the main structural element;
  • Jambeau – this element performs the decorative function and hides places for mounting the box.

Most construction stores provide customers with the opportunity to purchase a set of all elements at once. This greatly simplifies the selection process. It also completely eliminates the possibility of differences in the shades of each detail. However, many parts can also be purchased separately. In this case, the combination of colours depends on the correct selection of the buyer.

Door materials

In the production of canvases, both natural and synthetic materials can be used, which also affects the final cost. The main materials used are:

  • Wood. Such doors belong to the premium segment, so they are the most expensive and reliable. Spruce, pine, oak, walnut, aspen, beech are often used. Usually, such canvases are made following any design project. To give it an original look, they are covered with a transparent varnish.
  • Veneer. It is a thinner and cheaper type of wood of a 1 cm cut. Visually, the coating is very difficult to distinguish from wood, but the weight of such canvases is several times less. Veneer doors are not subject to fading and mechanical changes.

  • Ecoveneer. This is an artificial type of veneer. The production technology makes it possible to imitate a wood structure that does not cause any harm to human health. The positive quality of the material is its resistance to moisture and chemicals.
  • Laminate. This is the most economical option. Despite the simplicity of design, such doors can perfectly cope with their functions for 10 years and more. With proper operation, the door will be able to maintain a suitable appearance in your home and avoid deformation.

A massive frame involves filling voids with a certain type of filler. The most practical and environmentally friendly is MDF or wood fiberboard. The dense structure of these materials provides good insulating properties. A more economical filler option is chipboard or cardboard. However, such doors are subject to rapid deformation and loss of an attractive appearance.
